forever friends

Faithful Friends started out as a Cockapoo Club of Great Britain approved breeder. We have retired our only breeding bitch and will be taking a break from breeding for a few years.

We do not personally know other breeders and can not make recommendations, Sorry - but we can only point you to making sensible choices when looking for a breeder. Paperwork like being licensed or being approved is helpful but in the end the most important is that you are not being lied to. Puppies should not live separately from their mother and siblings. You should see a litter together. You should always be able to meet the mother of the litter. Observe how she interacts with the puppies… if she is grumpy with the puppies - thats fine as she may be weaning and sore from feeding… She should also show concern if one of the puppies yelps. and she should be briefly interested in your handling of the puppies. (she might sniff you and check you out as you start interacting). THE BIG RED FLAG is if the dog you have been told is the “mother” is completely dis-interested in you and the puppies. If you cannot meet the mother or if she seems completely disconnected from the litter WALK AWAY. If you observe worse conditions and you know that you are with a puppy farmer please do not “rescue” the puppy. Walk away. AND REPORT them to the police or RSPCA. If you buy a puppy from a puppy farm you do not rescue a puppy you create an environment where puppies will continue to be profitable and you will have been culpable for the continued suffering of many animals. Sorry for straight talking but it is true. The ONE puppy you take home might be better off abut many more will be suffering because the owners of the bad breeding practice will have no reason to change their methods. PLEASE do not place money in these peoples hands.

If you want further specific advice or want someone to visit a litter with you feel free to contact me to book me for a find puppy consultation. I can look at a website and give free advice from what i see - but if you want me to visit a breeder with you I will need my time and costs covered. I can only give advice from my experience, but I am happy to help if I can.

We have over ten years of experience working with Cockapoos. Over this time we have learned a lot about their nature and have a lot of tips and advice on the care and keeping of Cockapoos. This part of the website is dedicated to sharing our  knowledge and experience.

If you are local to Malmesbury Wiltshire and are looking for dog training please contact me as I have a wealth of knowledge in cockapoos personalities and needs. However I do work with all sorts of dog breeds in training and am very aware that breed characteristics only make up a small part of what you are dealing with. So we would always help you train the dog standing in front of you with all it’s own quirks and specific personality traits. No one size fits all - Please contact me for training help. I am willing to consider conducting one to one training sessions across Skype or FaceTime if you live further afield and want to benefit from my advice and experience. So again please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.
