The last litter went home and have started their training!

The Powerpuff girls (our last litter) have all gone to their forever homes and are settling in very well.

Grace, their mum, is getting her body back in shape and has been enjoying life getting back to normal. We have decided to retire her and as she is our only breeding bitch there will be no more Faithful Friends litters for several years.

I know this will be disappointing for some of you. I do not personally know other cockapoo breeders so all I can do is point you in the direction of the Cockapoo Club of Great Britain if you are looking for breeders.

Our VERY long term plan is to breed again in the future but as we don’t yet even own our next breeding bitch that will be a LONG way off. Several years away.

What’s next?

As many of you know I am a Pro Dog Trainer and therefore my future emails will be about dog training tips and ideas for raising your dog well.

Our way of training is to teach games that owners and dogs play at home (developing a stronger bond in the process) and growing concepts in the dogs brain that help them deal with every day life – dogs are making choices every day (to run to chase to eat to sit to sleep to jump) Concept training opens areas of their brain to help them make choices that you approve of. It’s a more natural and pleasant way to raise a dog as a great companion. An example of concepts that we help the dogs develop are: confidence, optimism, disengagement, focus and Calmness as a default.

I have a fantastic set of teaching programmes including lifeskills and puppy starter programmes as well as dog fitness and troubleshooting for naught but nice dogs. Contact me if you are local and interested to know more.
See 1 of our pups from the last litter practicing training tips to use the ball flinger as a food delivery and follow item below... This simple game helps dogs learn focus, and self control, they learn to keep all 4 paws on the floor and to walk nicely following something… which leads into loose lead walking!
